NEET MDS Result The National Board of Examinations (NBE) will conduct the NEET MDS 2024 exam on March 18, 2024. It is the responsible authority to declare the NEET MDS result 2024. NEET MDS result 2024 will mention the roll number, marks scored out of 960, and the NEET MDS rank of the candidate. On the basis of the result of NEET MDS 2024, shortlisted candidates will be granted admission to 50% All India Quota seats, 50% state quota seats, deemed/central universities, ESIC and private universities.
NBE will also later release the 50% AIQ Merit List based on NEET MDS 2024 scores. NEET MDS 2024 merit list PDF will contain the category, 50% AIQ Rank, and All India 50% Category Rank of the candidates. Only those listed on the merit list will be eligible to participate in NEET MDS 2024 counselling.

When will the NEET MDS 2024 result be announced?
The NBE on its official information bulletin has mentioned that it will declare the NEET MDS 2024 result by April 18, 2024. The NEET MDS 2024 result PDF will mention the name of the candidates, categories and scores. The cutoff for NEET MDS 2024 will also be announced along with the result mentioning the percentile scores equivalent to the percentile. The NEET MDS cutoff for the general/EWS category is 50th percentile and for SC/ST/OBC it is 40th percentile.

How to calculate NEET MDS 2024 result?
In the NEET MDS 2024 exam, candidates will be required to attempt 240 objective questions. The maximum marks as mentioned in the NEET MDS result are 960 marks. As per the exam pattern of NEET MDS, there will be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. The marking scheme used for NEET MDS result is as follows.

NEET MDS 2024 result – Percentile vs Marks
Based on the marks scored by the candidates in NEET MDS result 2024, the percentile for each candidate is calculated. The NEET MDS 2024 result will include the percentile score of each candidate. Only those who will score equal to and above the minimum NEET MDS cutoff percentile will qualify for the entrance test. It must be noted that the percentage and percentile of NEET MDS 2024 are completely different.
- The percentile of the candidate will be used for calculating the merit position of the candidate.
- The NEET MDS 2024 percentile score of a candidate will indicate the relative position of the candidate with respect to the other participants appearing for the test.
- A candidate with 100 percentile in NEET MDS result will indicate that the candidate has scored the highest marks in the examination, not full (960) marks.

Types of NEET MDS 2024 Result
Based on the NEET MDS result 2024, NBE will allot different ranks to the shortlisted candidates. NEET MDS merit list 2024 will mention the ranks of candidates qualifying for the entrance exam. These ranks are the merit position secured by each candidate regarding the other candidates who appeared and qualified for the NEET MDS 2024 exam. The types of NEET MDS result 2024 are:
NEET MDS rank 2024: The NEET MDS rank is the rank secured by the candidate amongst all the candidates who appeared for the NEET MDS exam 2024. The rank is allotted on the basis of scores mentioned in the NEET MDS 2024 result.
All India 50% Quota rank 2024: Candidates who will qualify NEET MDS 2024 exam by scoring marks equal to or above the cut off become eligible for admission. Such candidates will be allotted an All India 50% Quota rank in the result of NEET MDS 2024. The merit rank is decided on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in the exam.
All India 50% Quota category rank: The All India 50% Quota category rank is allotted against the category opted by the candidate while filling the NEET MDS 2024 application form. The competition in this rank is only among candidates belonging to the same category. The basis of AIQ category rank allotment is also the marks scored in the NEET MDS 2024 test.
NEET MDS result 2024: Tie-breaker criteria
In the case of two candidates having the same NEET MDS score, the rank or merit position is decided based on the below discussed four criteria.
- Incorrect responses: Candidates with less number of questions answered wrong will be placed higher in the NEET MDS 2024 merit list.
- Higher score: A candidate who scores better marks in part B of the exam will be awarded a higher rank in NEET MDS result 2024.
- Wrong answers in part B: Candidate who manages to get less wrong answers in part B of the NEET MDS question paper will get a higher rank.
- Age: Candidates older in age will be placed higher in the NEET MDS 2024 rank list.
