What is DNB in NEET PG?

DNB stands for Diplomate of National Board. It is a postgraduate medical qualification awarded by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), equivalent to MD/MS when pursued after MBBS.

Is DNB equal to MD/MS?

Yes, after the 2020 NMC notification, DNB qualifications obtained from institutions with 500+ bed capacity are considered equivalent to MD/MS for teaching posts. However, in smaller hospitals, the equivalency for teaching might be limited to assistant professor roles.

What is the eligibility for DNB courses in 2025?

You must qualify NEET PG 2025 and meet the minimum cutoff percentile. Admission is through centralized counselling conducted by the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee).

What is the DNB cutoff for 2025?
