Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024 – Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for participating in the Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 counseling are below.
Nationality:
- Candidate must be an Indian national to apply for Maharashtra NEET PG counseling
- Non-resident Indians (NRI) are eligible only for the 15% percent NRI quota seats in unaided private/minority medical colleges
- Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are not eligible for Maharashtra PG medical counseling
Domicile:
- Candidate must have passed the final examination of the MBBS degree course from an institute in Maharashtra
- He/she must have completed the compulsory rotatory internship within the stipulated date as stated by NMC
- Candidates who have passed MBBS from a foreign university are not eligible
- Candidates who are domiciled in the state of Maharashtra and have completed his/her MBBS from outside Maharashtra (allocated a seat under 15% AIQ), were also eligible for the counseling of Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024.

Only the candidates who score the required minimum cut-off marks or above and make it to the Maharashtra NEET PG merit list by qualifying for the examination will be eligible to apply for the Maharashtra NEET PG counseling 2023.
The Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024 process for each round will start with online registration at cetcell.mahacet.org . The registration facility is the simplest and is available on the home page of the official website. Eligible candidates will have to register themselves with their NEET PG 2024 details for Maharashtra PG Medical Admission 2024.
The Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling registration process is divided into four steps followed by downloading of seat allotment results. The step-by-step process is detailed below for the Maharashtra postgraduate medical admission:
Step 1 Registration: Go to the official website at cetcell.mahacet.org.
- Candidates who wish to participate in the counseling of Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 have to register themselves on the official website-mahacet.org. (The direct link will be provided as and when the website will be active).
- Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling the application form for Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 counselling.
- They must also note that any changes to the application form of Maharashtra PG medical counseling can be made before the final submission. There is no provision to make changes to the details filled in the application once it is submitted.
- To complete the registration process, the candidate needs to pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 3,000. The receipt of the application fee has to be preserved for future reference.
- The last step of registration is uploading the documents online. Documents can not be uploaded without paying the application fee.

Maharashtra NEET PG counseling- Merit List 2024
MAHA-CET will prepare the Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 merit list based on scores obtained in NEET PG. The merit list will include the names of candidates, state rank, roll number, NEET PG rank and scores, category, sub-category, weightage years, and total weightage of marks. Based on the NEET PG All India Rank (AIR), aspirants will be called for the counseling process.
Maharashtra NEET PG counseling- Choice Filling
Details of the seats available through the Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2024 will be published online. Candidates named in the state merit list have to fill up a preference form online to apply for these seats. Candidates must remember that the choices filled in the preference form can be changed any number of times before submitting it, but once submitted, there will not be any option to modify it. Also, this is a one-time process only and candidates will not be given a chance to change their choices before the subsequent round of Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 counseling.
