Madhya Pradesh NEET PG Counselling- Resignation and Bonds

Madhya Pradesh NEET PG counselling follows a time-sensitive resignation and bond system, where candidates must carefully decide whether to continue, upgrade, or resign from their allotted seat. The rules vary depending on the counselling round and timing of resignation.

🔹 Resignation Rules (Round-wise Understanding)

Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 1 have the flexibility to resign and still participate in further rounds. However, this is allowed only if the resignation is done at least two days before the start of Round 2 counselling.

Once a candidate proceeds beyond this stage:

  • Resignation from Round 2 or Mop-up Round seats makes the candidate ineligible for further rounds
  • Late resignation leads to stricter penalties and loss of opportunities

👉 Timing of resignation is critical to retain eligibility

🔹 Fee Refund Policy

If a candidate resigns from a Round 1 seat within the allowed timeline:

  • 90% of tuition fee is refunded
  • Maximum deduction is ₹10,000
  • For NRI candidates, deduction is ₹25,000

👉 Refund is only applicable if resignation is done before the deadline

🔹 Upgradation Option (Round 2)

Candidates who wish to upgrade their seat in the next round must:

  • Select “Yes” for upgradation at the time of Round 1 admission
  • Only after selecting this option, the online admission slip is generated

This option can be modified later through the candidate login within the specified time window.

👉 If you don’t opt for upgradation, you may get locked in your current seat

🔹 Seat Leaving Bond Rule

The Seat Leaving Bond becomes applicable once the Mop-up round begins.

  • If a candidate resigns after the start of Mop-up counselling, the bond penalty will be imposed
  • If resignation is done at least two days before Mop-up, the bond does not apply

👉 Mop-up round marks the transition from flexibility to strict penalty phase
