  • Internship completion before cutoff date
  • Must be registered with National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council

Rajasthan NEET PG Domicile Based Eligibility Criteria

One of the most important concepts in Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026 is its two parallel seat hierarchies, which makes it very different from most other states. Instead of a simple domicile-based system, Rajasthan divides seats into State Quota and All India Private Quota, both running simultaneously during counselling.

Hierarchy Seats Eligibility Key Rule
State Quota 50% Rajasthan MBBS graduates / State eligible candidates Restricted to Rajasthan candidates till Round 3
Opens to all-India in stray vacancy round only.
All India Private Quota 50% All India NEET PG qualified candidates Open from Round 1
No domicile restriction

💡 What This Actually Means

Non-domicile at private colleges from R1:
Non-domicile candidates CAN participate from Round 1 for 50% private seats (All India open seats).

Government seats:
Strictly for MBBS from Rajasthan (not just domicile).
Even Rajasthan domicile with MBBS from another state is NOT eligible.
Opens only in Stray Vacancy Round.

NRI at private:
Rajasthan private colleges DO NOT have NRI quota.
Management Seats seats are available Fee is too Much High.

Private college rules:
Cannot charge advance fees, post-dated cheques, or demand bank guarantees.

👉 Two Tracks: Govt + 50% Private = Domicile
👉 50% Private = All India (from Round 1)

Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026 – Security Deposit

In Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026, the security deposit is a mandatory step that determines your eligibility for choice filling and seat allotment. The amount varies based on the type of seats you are targeting—government, management, or private—and must be paid before entering preferences.

This deposit is not just a formality; it plays a critical role in the counselling process. It is adjusted against tuition fees if you join the allotted seat, but strict forfeiture rules apply if candidates fail to join after allotment in later rounds.

👉 Understanding deposit categories and forfeiture rules is essential to avoid financial loss and disqualification from further rounds.

💰 Security Deposits (Rajasthan NEET PG)

₹1,00,000 → Government seats (Govt colleges, RajMES, RUHS CMS, District Hospitals)
₹2,00,000 → Management seats (RajMES colleges & RUHS CMS)
₹5,00,000 → Private college seats (eligible for all govt + management options)

Adjustment Rule:
If allotted and joined, the deposit is adjusted in tuition fees — no need to pay separately on day 1.

Forfeiture Rules:
• Round 1 non-join → No forfeiture
• Round 2 / Round 3 non-join → Deposit forfeited + not eligible for further rounds
• Stray round non-join → Deposit forfeited + debarred for next year

⚠️ Important: Higher deposit unlocks more seat options — choose wisely based on your strategy.

Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026 – Reservation System

Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026 follows a structured reservation policy that includes both central categories and a unique state-specific component. Along with commonly known categories like UR, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST, Rajasthan also includes a distinct Most Backward Class (MBC) reservation, making its system slightly different from other states.

The reservation percentages are applied mainly under the State Quota, ensuring equitable distribution of seats among different social categories. However, candidates must clearly understand that certain categories—like MBC—are only applicable within Rajasthan state counselling and do not extend to All India Quota.

👉 Proper understanding of reservation categories is essential to accurately assess your rank position, competition, and realistic seat chances.

Category Reservation Details
GEN (UR) ~38% General category (Unreserved seats)
EWS 10% Economically Weaker Section
OBC 21% Other Backward Classes
MBC 5% Most Backward Class (Rajasthan specific)
Applicable only in State Quota (not in AIQ)
SC 16% Scheduled Caste
ST 12% Scheduled Tribe

Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling – Round-wise Joining Flow

After seat allotment in Rajasthan NEET PG Counselling 2026, the most critical step is joining at the allotted college, which must be completed strictly within the timeline mentioned in the allotment letter. The admission process is conducted through physical reporting, where candidates are required to appear in person with original documents, fee payment proof, and mandatory bonds.

The joining process remains largely consistent across all rounds, but with important differences in upgradation rules, document handling, and security deposit requirements in later rounds. Candidates must carefully follow each instruction, as failure to report, incomplete documentation, or incorrect details can lead to immediate cancellation of admission without any extension.

👉 This stage is highly sensitive, where even a small mistake can result in loss of both seat and fees—making it essential to understand every rule before reporting.

In Government Medical Colleges, candidates are first required to submit a ₹10 lakh surety bond at the time of allotment, ensuring that they will not leave the course midway. At the time of final joining, this is replaced by a ₹1.5 lakh bank guarantee and ₹8.5 lakh bond, after which the initial ₹10 lakh bond is returned.

Additionally, all candidates admitted to government colleges must sign a 2-year compulsory service bond, requiring them to serve under the Government of Rajasthan after completing their postgraduate course.

In Private Medical Colleges, bond conditions are comparatively flexible. Candidates may still be required to sign an undertaking not to leave the course midway, and in case of discontinuation, they are generally liable to pay the remaining course fees as per college rules.
