The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET PG 2024 counselling in online mode only. The authority will release the full schedule of NEET PG counselling 2024 after the declaration of the result. The online counselling of NEET PG 2024 will be commenced on the official website mcc.nic.in. A link for the online counselling of NEET PG 2024 will be provided here, once available. NEET PG exam 2024 will now be conducted on August 11 in two shifts.
MCC will conduct 4 rounds of All India Quota counselling for NEET PG qualified candidates: round 1, round 2, mop-up round and stray vacancy round. Through the MCC NEET PG 2024 counselling, the AIQ fresh registrations will be allowed in the first three rounds. No fresh registrations will be required for the stray vacancy round. During the NEET PG counselling 2024, candidates will have to register, pay fees and fill out their choice of courses and colleges. Based on the choices filled by the graduates, NEET PG 2024 rank and seat availability, admission will be granted.Only candidates who qualify NEET PG with the minimum cut off percentile are eligible to participate in the seat allotment process. NEET PG counselling comprises online registration, fee payment, choice declaration, seat allotment result, and reporting.

Step 1: Registration
Candidates who wish to participate in the counselling for NEET PG 2024 have to register on the official website of MCC. New registrations are accepted before each round. However, candidates who have registered once for NEET PG counselling 2024 do not need to register for the second time.

- Register using a valid email ID and mobile number

Step 2: Registration Fee
- To participate in the counselling of NEET PG 2024, a candidate needs to pay the registration fee
- The registration fee for NEET PG 2024 counselling has to be paid online (Net banking/credit card/debit card)
- There are two components of the registration fee, refundable and non-refundable

Step 3: NEET PG 2024 Counselling Choice Filling
- Applicants now have to choose the preferred course and colleges from the MCC list.
- Candidates can have as many choices as they want to. The options will be shown on the left side of the screen and will move to the right side of the page once selected. Candidates can add or remove them from the list.
- Candidates are advised to review the choices made before sending them. They must also hold a copy of the choices made for future use.
How to fill the choice for NEET PG seat allotment 2024 ?
- Go to the MCC website and log in through registration credentials
- Fill the choice of college and course for NEET PG seat allotment 2024
- Click on ‘+’ button to add a new choice
- For rearranging the order of choice filled, just drag it to the desired position
- Click on ‘save and next’ to lock the final choices as desired by candidates
Step 4: NEET PG 2024 Counselling Seat Allotment List
- MCC releases NEET PG seat allotment result in the PDF format.
- The seats are allocated on the basis of the choices to be filled by the candidates and all India ranks.
- Candidates with their names in the list can download their seat allocation letter by logging into the registered account on the official website.

Step 5: Reporting to the Institute
- Applicants who will be given a seat in the NEET PG 2024 counselling will have to report to the allocated institute.
- They must carry all of their certificates in their original form along with a self-tested copy.

What after NEET PG Counselling Round 1?
After the release of the 2024 NEET PG allotment list for counselling round one, candidates will be required to follow the steps mentioned below based on their status.
- Free exit: The seat allotted in the first round of MCC NEET PG counselling 2024 will be cancelled if a candidate does not report to the allotted institute within the stipulated time. Such an option is referred to as ‘free exit.’
- Accepting the seat allotted in round one: If a candidate who has been allotted a seat in the first round of NEET PG 2024 counselling is satisfied with the allotted seat they can report to the allotted institute and secure their seat by paying tuition fee.
- Upgradation in round 2: If a candidate is not satisfied with the seat allotted to them, they can opt for upgradation and participate in the second round of NEET PG counselling 2024. In case the seat is not upgraded during the second round, the seat allotted to the candidate in NEET PG counselling round one will be retained.
NEET PG Round 2 Counselling 2024
The process for NEET PG second round counselling 2024 is similar to that of the first round. In this round, new candidates who didn’t participate in the first round will have to register and pay the registration fee. Those who have already registered during round one, don’t need to register again. But the choice filling is mandatory to every candidate irrespective of the fact whether they declare the choice in the first round of NEET PG 2024 counselling.
Who can participate in NEET PG 2024 Round 2 Counselling?
- Those who didn’t get any seat in NEET PG counselling 2024 round 1
- Seat allotted in round one but it got cancelled in the physical document verification process.
- If a candidate wants to upgrade his allotted seat in the NEET PG round one counselling 2024
- Candidates who choose ‘free exit’ option or did not participate in round one counselling.
- Candidate who not participate in Round 1 Counselling.
Candidates participating in round two of MCC NEET PG 2024 counselling must note that there is no option of ‘free exit’ in the second round of counselling. If a candidate does not secure his/her NEET PG admission 2024 in the college/seat allotted during round two, his/her refundable security deposit will be forfeited.
NEET PG 2024 Counselling Mop-Up Round
- The NEET PG counselling mop-up round of MCC will be conducted only for admission to deemed and central universities , DNB and ESIC institutes.
- Fresh registration: Candidates who exited either round one or round two of NEET PG 2024 counselling by not reporting to the allotted college will be required to register again for the mop-up round.
- No new registration: Candidates who did not get any seat either in round one or in round two of NEET PG counselling will not be required to register again for the mop-up round.
- Choice filling: All candidates will have to fill in fresh choices of courses and colleges.
- Seat allotment: The NEET PG 2024 seat allotment of the mop-up round will be published on the official website.
